Fecho: month-end close for the whole client portfolio, in one place.
A system for accounting firms to see which clients have sent everything, request what is missing in one click and reconcile documents against e-Fatura, the Portuguese tax authority's invoice records.
Fecho is an example, designed for an accounting firm. Every firm is different, in its portfolio, its team and the services it offers, and the system is designed around that.
The problem
The month is over. Paperwork from 44 clients is still missing.
Documents arrive by email, by WhatsApp, as photos of unreadable receipts and in spreadsheets with three versions. Someone has to ask again for the August statement, check whether an expense is business or personal and chase whoever has sent nothing.
Meanwhile the deadlines don't wait. And when a client asks whether the business is doing well, the answer sits in hundreds of invoices nobody had time to read line by line.
What it does
From requesting a document to the client's report, in the same place.
Who is missing this month, on one screen
The whole portfolio in one view: how many companies are complete, which are missing documents and who hasn't replied in over a week, with the tax deadlines alongside.
One click requests what is missing
The system writes to the client with the exact list of what is missing, by email or SMS, and schedules the reminder. Nobody has to remember to ask again.
The client takes a photo, no phone calls
The client opens the link on their phone, with no password, sees what the accountant needs and photographs or uploads each document. Back at the firm, the list closes itself.
e-Fatura matches
Documents received are checked against the e-Fatura list. What matches is filed; what is missing on either side is shown for the accountant to decide. The system compares and shows, and nothing is submitted to the tax authority.
Every price change, with the invoice next to it
e-Fatura says how much was spent, not on what. Fecho reads every line of every invoice and shows what went up in price, with the source invoice one tap away.
A monthly summary the client understands
The month's purchases, the suppliers that weigh most, what is still to pay and the price changes. The accountant writes a note and sends it.
What it looks like
The names, companies and amounts on the screens are fictitious.

Your portfolio may look nothing like this one. That is why the system is designed around it.
