TEMPO: a restaurant's operations in one system.
A platform built around the day-to-day of a hospitality business, starting with the people: rotas, shifts and teams.
TEMPO is an example. It was built for one specific restaurant, with its own rules. In another business, the system is designed from scratch around that business.
Where it started
Too many things in too many places.
Teams, shifts, temperatures, incidents, handovers and procedures were all part of the same business, but they lived on paper, in WhatsApp groups and in separate spreadsheets.
The goal was never to add one more tool. It was to create one place where the operation actually runs.
What was built
A modular platform that grows with the business.
Dashboard
A quick view of what is happening in the operation that day.
Rotas and shifts
Staff schedules created and changed in one place, visible to everyone.
Staff
Each person's information organised and available to whoever needs it.
Daily operations
Checklists, procedures, equipment, incidents and shift handovers.
Management and accounting
Operational information reaches the people who decide and the people who do the books, without anyone asking.
Built around the operation.
I started with the business and its problems, and only then designed the system. That makes it possible to build only what matters, test it with the people who use it every day and keep adding modules as new needs appear.
Facing the same problems in your day-to-day?
Your operation may look nothing like this one. That is why the system is designed around it.
