Formosa: hundreds of invoices a month, none typed by hand.
A system for businesses that receive many supplier invoices and lose hours copying them into Excel, only to still not know how much they owe or to whom.
Formosa is an example. It was built for one specific restaurant, with its own suppliers and rules. In another business, the system is designed from scratch around that business.
The problem
Hours lost copying paper.
In a restaurant, invoices arrive every day from several suppliers, almost always on paper. Someone types them into a spreadsheet by hand, with all the time and mistakes that involves.
Meanwhile nobody knows exactly how much is due, what is already overdue, or that the price of courgettes has more than doubled since the last order.
What it does
It all starts with a photo. The rest is the system doing the maths.
Take a photo of the invoice
The data goes into the system without anyone typing it.
Know what is due
The total owed, what is overdue and what falls due in the next 7 and 30 days. The cash you need available is worked out for you.
Pay with a plan
Invoices sorted by age, by invoice or by supplier, with the payment order prepared from the app.
See what went up in price
Each item is compared with the previous purchase. If courgettes go from €0.90 to €2.40 a kilo, you get an alert.
Understand where the money goes
This month's purchases compared with last month, each supplier's share and spending by product type.
What it looks like

Facing the same problems in your day-to-day?
Your operation may look nothing like this one. That is why the system is designed around it.
